PART 1 - SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA

The first half of March for 17 days we will be exploring Southern California along Hwy 101 from Cotati to San Diego.  We will make stops at Paso Robles to do some wine tasting in their wine country.  Then to Ventura to take a cruise to the Channel Islands (never been there) and to visit my 2nd cousin Tasha and her husband Adrian.  Next stop will be Long Beach to visit that area of the city of Angels.  We will take a cruise to Catalina Island and walk the streets of Avalon. We have a 3 day pass to the ‘Happiest Place on Earth”.  We also hope to visit with Melissa who works in the Long Beach area.  Melissa is the daughter of our good friends from Gig Harbor, Bonnie and Mike Melchior.  Our last stop in Southern California will be San Diego.  There we will visit the museums in Balboa Park and cross the bridge to Coronado Island to do some shopping.

In past trailer trips we have visited and explored all these places.  But it is always fun to revisit.  As we get older, we move a lot slower; so we see things differently and perhaps see things we missed when we moved at a faster pace.

First stop is Paso Robles.
